On the morning of September 23rd, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of National Development in Singapore Mr. Jiang Caikai, Standing Deputy Secretary Zhen Xinglin, Director of Eco-City Project Office Wang Mingli, Director of Sino-Singapore Eco-City Project Kong Guizhen and Assistant Director of Eco-City Office Zeng Liming visited Animation School. Both sides further exchanged opinions of corporation of Sino-Singapore Project of International Animation School in Tianjin ecological city. President assistant Liu Liqun, Head of Animation School Liao Xiangzhong, Director of Animation department Gao Weihua, Digital Art department Director Jiang Hao attended the meeting.
Mr. Jiang Caikai and his group paid a visit to our Animation School and walked around to see several works created by teachers and students who won awards in several International animation festivals. Mr. Jiang Caikai truly expressed his appreciations to the resources and ability of the faculty, the hardware environment and art atmosphere in our school, and he revealed a huge interesting in these exquisite works which conveyed the Chinese traditional culture. Mr. Jiang Caikai pointed out that this project among Communication University of China, Singapore department and new coastal region of Tianjin was a beneficial deal for all sides. By carrying out the respective advantages and collaborating together the parties concerned would surely make this project a great success. At the same time he promised that Singapore Ministry of National Development would definitely provide a better-rounded support to promote the culture exchanges and education collaboration between the two sides.
During the meeting, President Assistance Liu Liqun expressed his welcome to Mr. Jiang Caikai and his group, and sincere gratitude to the contributions that Ministry of National Development of Singapore ever made in the Sino-Singapore education collaboration projects. She pointed out that as the first-class animation education domestic institution, Communication University of China sticked to keeping an International education visual field. And we were very glad to join this project and abundant support and assistance would be offered during this time.
Head of the Animation School Liao Xiangzhong gave an introduction of the Animation School to Mr. Jiang Caikai and his group, and emphasized that they always carried their teaching with an International idea. He said that Animation School of Communication University of China and mainstream animation education institutions and production corporations in Singapore would continuously collaborate in depth in teaching, scientific research and creation and production field and would play a full role in the Tianjin Sino-Singapore ecological city conjoint project, dedicating to cultivating talented personnel who adapted to the digital media time and with an international view, making contributions to the Asian cartoon and animation industry in the future.
Tianjin Sino-Singapore ecological city was a key corporate project between China and Singapore government. The cartoon and animation industry would be an integrated demonstration center of talented personnel cultivation, animation creation and production research and development, animation program show and transaction. Ministry of National Development is one of the fifteen ministries of Singapore government. On purpose of constructing a well-rounded excellent city and country, National Development Ministry of Singapore made plenty of efforts in developing world-class infrastructure , enhancing the development of a vigorous and sustainable city, and building a stable and energetic society. The Ministry took charge of this project on behalf of Singapore government. Ministry of National Development and CUC had communicated several times before this meeting, and the leadership of our school had visited Singapore to contact the leaders of Singapore development ministry to fulfill the stratagem collaboration negotiation about building an international animation school of Communication University of China in the Tianjin national cartoon and animation industry demonstration center .
