French Expert Lectures on the Latest Development of Multi-media Editing

On the afternoon of March 24th, Mr. Bertrand Pecquerie, the French new media expert, who had a special-purpose trip to China at CUC s invitation, had a lecture on the latest development of multi-media news reports and the iPad editing operations in Communication University of China.

Mr. Pecquerie is an internationally well-known and senior media expert. Currently he is the World Editor Forum (WEF) Director-General, the "Worlds Network Media" senior executive, and once was the guest professor of political college in Paris.
In the lecture his speech highlighted the organizational changes in the newsroom, the ways news editors are supposed to adapt to the changes, to make themselves and their host medium more competitive in this media-integrating era, when traditional print media and new multimedia are integrating.
Mr. Pecquerie stressed, In the former era of traditional media, the reader was not taken into serious consideration. But now the readers preferences and needs can be known at any time with their ready interaction with the network.
The whole lecture was interspersed with a variety of interesting news cases, and the atmosphere was lively. In the interactive stage, Mr. Pecquerie cited well-documented and extensive evidence and to respond to the audience s questions lively, leading to burst of applause. And The lecture enhanced the audience s understanding of the media-integrating era and benefited them a lot from his advice as to how to deal with the new technical challenges.
This lecture was jointly held by European Media Research Centre and Graduate School of CUC and Higher Institute of Reporters in Lille, France.
