On April 22th, Assistant principal of CUC Liu Liqun met visiting Professor Arun Mahizhnan, the Deputy Director of Policy Research Center of the National University of Singapore.

Assistant principal Liu introduced the basics of CUC and reviewed recent exchanges and cooperation with universities in Singapore these years. Liu hoped Professor Mahizhnan s visit could expand further cooperation among CUC and the National University of Singapore and Asian media information and communication center (AMIC). Professor Mahizhnan introduced the National University of Singapore and his research center. The two sides exchanged views on the cooperation project of the Asian media research fields.
Deputy Director Zhang Yanqiu of International Exchange and Cooperation Department of CUC, Professor Zhang Kai of School of Foreign Studies and Associate Professor Wen Chunying of Asian Media Research Center attended the meeting.
After the meeting, Mr. Mahizhnan visited the Asia Media Research Center and had a talk with Associate Professor Wen Chunying.The two sides reached a cooperation agreement on the cooperative research, personnel exchange and jointly held seminars.
On the night of 22nd, Professor Mahizhnan gave a lecture named Asian Response to Internet: Some Case Studies for teachers and students in CUC.
The National University of Singapore, which is referred to as NUS, is the first tertiary institution of the Republic of Singapore. The National University of Singapore was founded in 1905.It is the world famous university with a long history. Currently it has nine professional schools, seven graduate schools, multiple research institutes and research centers. It has a total of 50 departments, about 19,000 undergraduates, over 7,000 graduates and 3,000 teaching staff .
