Works by Students from ZSTU Got Accepted into National Fine Arts Show and Zhejiang Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition

The iconography majors from ZSTU have recently made outstanding achievements in the National Fine Arts Show and the twelfth Zhejiang Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition in celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of PRC. One of their works got accepted into both National Fine Arts Show and the twelfth Zhejiang Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition. Another six ones got accepted into the latter with one awarded the provincial merit award.
Love for Dunhuang by Ding Zhiyu got accepted into both National Fine Arts Show and the twelfth Zhejiang Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition. The World in the Attic by Liu Tingting was awarded the provincial merit award and Vision of Childhood by Li Dawei, Mermaid by Guo Zhengzheng, Back to the Parental Home by Jin Lu, Gudong by Wang Xirong, Space by Ma Dandan and Invisible Insects by Xiao Lin were also accepted into the twelfth Zhejiang Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition.
The twelfth Zhejiang Provincial Fine Arts Exhibition is one of the key projects of the first Festival of Culture and Arts of Zhejiang province. It received altogether 2163 pieces of works with 788 pieces accepted, 10 pieces winning the golden award, 29 pieces winning the silver award, 49 pieces winning the bronze award and 83 pieced winning the merit award. The works by ZSTU s iconography majors, like fresh air in the exhibition, have elevated the major itself in the society.
Associate Professor Wu Yonghang who are in charge of the iconography major said that they spent as long as six months to create these works in order to celebrate the show and the exhibition in honor of the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of PRC and pave the way for he first graduating iconography major to design their graduation works. Vice President of Zhejiang Juvenile and Children's Publishing House and Guest Professor, Mr. Tao Wenjie and other teachers of Iconography Department have tried their best to tutor these candidates and teach them to design works out of novel conceptions and creative ideas and from unique perspectives.
Autumn Eclipse by Huang Lifan, a teacher from Department of Arts and Design of College of Science of Arts was awarded the bronze award in the provincial Fine Arts Exhibition.
