From Oct. 1 to 16 the 13th World Bridge Tournament was held in Philadelphia, the U.S. During the women's group finals on Oct. 13 China's women team beat the Dutch women team and won its championship. The six team members include Wang Hongli, a student from School of Humanities, Economics and Law at NPU.
Many times Wang Hongli has represented China, played a major role in its women's bridge team and performed brilliantly during the world bridge tournaments. Last year, China's women team won the championship for the world women's bridge tournament and the Venice Cup in Brazil. This year, they get again the championship for the world bridge tournament, showing that they are a strong team among the women's bridge teams in the world. After this tournament Wang Hongli replaces Wang Wenfei and becomes the new No. 1 master of the world women's bridge.
