On Apr 18, LI Dan, the young teacher from School of Arts of SCUT participated in the qualifying competition for the 1st International Opera Competition on South Mainland. The selection of "Jiangjie" she performed blew the judges and was awarded the first prize of ethnic group aging from 23 to 29. She was also invited by YE Quling, Dean of Toronto School of Music Canada, to attend the finals hosted at Hong Kong in May. LI Xi, the other participant of School of Arts, has also done a great job by winning the third prize of the group aging from 23 to 29 under the direction of Mr. LI Quan.
