From May 17 to 18, a 5-member delegation of NanKai University led by RAO Zihe, its president as well as academician of Chinese Academy of Science, visited SCUT. President LI Yuanyuan warmly received the guests.
On the morning of May 18, President LI Yuanyuan showed the guests around the South Campus. Later, the representatives of two sides held a conference at the Shaw Building of Science. In the conference, President LI Yuanyuan extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and gave the guests a detailed introduction on the recent developmental status of SCUT; President RAO Zihe introduced the design planning of the new campus of NanKai University and expressed the hope that Architecture Design Institute of SCUT could take part in the planning.
HE Jingtang, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and dean of School of Architecture of SCUT, put forward specific design advice in the conference.
