Recently, State Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization held the 12th Award Presentation Ceremony of Chinese Patent Award in Beijing in praise of the inventors, designers and patentees who have made substantial contributions to technological innovation and social economical development. Two patents from SCUT have got the merit awards, that is, Method for deep enzymolysis of low value fish protein with rotten inhibiting function (Gold-nominated), and The disposal method of regenerated papermaking wastewater, presided by Prof. ZHAO Mouming and Prof. WAN Jinquan respectively.
There are altogether 15 gold awards, 181 merit awards for patents, and 5 gold awards, 33 merit awards for industrial design. Since its initiation in 1989, Chinese Patent Award has been increasingly improved in credibility, authority, and influence, and has aroused enthusiasm of innovation and improved innovative spirit of Chinese scholars.
