On June 22, 2007, a contract of supplying 48 metro cars for Bangkok, Thailand was signed in Beijing. The total contract volume is sixty five million US dollars. The contract was a result of bidding with Europe and Japan companies.
The metros will be built by CNR Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. CNR Changchun has ever delivered Iran hundred of metro cars before and singed 60 LRV contract for Iran
