In the morning of June 24, 2008, CNR CRH3 Hexie EMU broke Chinese train speed record, clocking 394.3 kilometers per hour during a test run on Beijing-Tianjin passenger dedicated line. It only takes 25 minutes and 10 second in 118.296 kilometers line. The high speed train, CRH3 Hexie , is made by CNR Tangshan Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd.
Although the speed is near 400 km/h, people feel normal and comfortable. The Vice-chief engineer of the Railway ministry Zhang Shuguang said that the Chinese train is one of the most quickly trains in the world at moment.
The Beijing-Tianjin passenger dedicated line was being built started on July 4, 2005 and finished on December 16, 2007. It will be put into form test running on July 1, 2008
