On 19 September, 2008, a type A metro train for Shenzhen Subway was rolled out in CNR Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. This is the first type A metro with our own property right in China.
At present, type A metro trains are only run in three cities in China. They were made by either foreigner or joint-venture. CNR type A metro will create a landmark in Chinese mass transport.
With feature of broad body and larger seating capacity, type A metro train is more suitable for large amount transportation. It is able to load 100 people more than type B car. The max speed of new car is 80km/h and a train consists of 6 cars.
