On December 12, 15 CKD6E shunting diesel locomotives which were independently developed by CSR Ziyang Locomotive Co., Ltd. started shipping to Kazakhstan continuously in batches. This is the second time for China to export diesel locomotives to Kazakhstan.
Independently developed by CSR Ziyang Locomotive Co., Ltd., the exported 15 CKD6E locomotives were shunting diesel locomotives which had concerned both the experience of the first batch of locomotives exported to Kazakhstan in 2006 and railway conditions, climate and environment in Kazakhstan. At the arrival in Kazakhstan, the locomotives are mainly used for allocation, transportation, marshalling and other operations on the country''s national and international rail lines.
