CSR Attracted Great Attention on International Heavy Haul Conference

On June 22, 2009, the 9th International Heavy Haul Conference ceremoniously kicked off in Shanghai International Convention Center. Mr. Hu Yadong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Railways and Mr. Roy Allen, Chairman of the International Heavy Haul Association attended and addressed to the representatives from USA, Russia, UK and twenty other nations.

Mr. Zhang XinNing, the Chief Engineer of CSR attended the conference and made a key-note speech titled Develop Green Equipments, Service Heavy-duty Transportation . Fifteen papers of CSR were compiled into the symposium and two of them were read in the conference.

The Ninth International Modern Railway Technology and Equipment Exposition was also started at 14 o clock of the same day in Shanghai Exposition Center. Mr. Hu Yadong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Railways, and Mr. Roy Allen, Chairman of the International Heavy Haul Association, Mrs. B. Pyrite of the Federal Railroad Administration of Department of Transportation of the United States paid visits to the exposition booth of CSR respectively.

Mr. Zhang XinNing presented to them the company s R&D achievements of recent years and gave Mrs Pyrite a special introduction on CSR s R&D and production of high speed MUs. Railway companies from Australia, South Africa, India and other countries also visited CSR s booth and obtained information about CSR s R&D and manufacturing concerning locomotive, freight wagon, electric transmission and control system and other products.
