CSR Won the Largest Single-Batch Order of Electric Buses in China

On June 10^th, it was learned from China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Corporation Limited that Zhuzhou Public Transport Corporation Hunan Province and CSR Times Electrical Automobile Co., Ltd. CSR Times Electric signed a purchase contract for 140 hybrid-drive buses in Zhuzhou, in which the first 10 will be delivered in mid July. This is the largest single-batch purchase order for electric buses in China so far.

Electric buses are the environment-friendly means of public transport promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and are in line with the new approach of industrialization of China. With its advantages in the special technologies of rail transport equipment like converter, electrical driving, traction electromotor and integration of electromechanical product systems, CSR is making expansions to the related areas, particularly working hard to develop the new energy industries like electric automobiles with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China.

The cooperation between CSR Time Electric and Zhuzhou Public Transport could be traced back to 2004, when the two parties created a joint-venture, the first electric automobile operation company model in China, and joined hands to launch the first electric bus operation model line second across China to boost the industrialization of electrical automobiles in China.

According to the experts, the fourth-generation hybrid-drive buses developed by CSR Times Electric could save gas by 25% and cut exhaust emission by 60%. Its N-CVT function reduces the labor intensity of drivers, and the low noise makes the passengers more comfortable. It is one of the most mature electrical buses in operation in China at present.

At the ceremony, the representative from CSR Times Electric reviewed their four-year cooperation with Zhuzhou Public Transport Corporation, and noted that the electric buses of CSR Times Electric will continue to serve the public transport of Zhuzhou and local residents with their excellent quality and performance while developing and expanding its own electric bus sector.

Vice Mayor Zhai Dupei of Zhuzhou Municipality appreciated the sustained efforts and breakthroughs made by CSR Times Electrical in the past years, and he highly acclaimed the new-type industry model built by CSR Times Electric for the development of new industries in Zhuzhou.
