Binshui (Waterside) Town to Be Established in Wangcheng County

The core area of Binshui (waterside) Town, located at the west bank of Xiangjiang River, will be built as a poster child integrating water and city harmoniously.

The town is designed into a planning area, a core area and a starting area.

On Jan. 11, the International Bid Inviting and Opening Conference of Binshui Town, the biggest project of Wangcheng County, kicked off in the Management Committee of Binshui Town.

According to the design, the 5 lakes including Daze Lake and Banma (zebra) Lake in the town will be connected with Xiangjiang River by waterway. Laying stress on ecological protection, the building of the town aims to create a unique water landscape, thus making Xiangjiang River and the modern city add radiance and charm to each other.

Since last September, Regulatory Detailed Planning on the Core Area and Urban Design on the Starting Area of Wangcheng Binshui Town has solicited design programs from designers across the world. More than 50 renowned companies (associates) such as CPG Corporation Pte Ltd and GHD from Australia have signed up for the selection actively.
