Han Yongwen, vice governor of Hunan Province, attended the report meeting on the launch of the pilot financial IC card system reform of Postal Saving Bank of China (PSBC) in Hunan, and met with Li Cailin, deputy president of PSBC on the morning of January 19th.
Mr. Han stressed that financial IC card system reform is an important measure to benefit the people with new financial technologies. Hunan Branch of PSBC should further strengthen the scientific and technological development and promote the new-type industrialization, new-type urbanization, agricultural modernization, informatization and the building of the "Two-oriented" (resource-saving and environment-friendly) Society.
Vice governor Han urged that the financial IC card system reform is an essential project concerning people's livelihood in the field of finance and is in accordance with the requirement of building the "Two-oriented" Society and the goal of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan economic integration. He hoped that with the start of the financial IC card system reform, PSBC can give more support to expedite Hunan's social and economic development and make greater contributions in filling in the blank of rural financial system and serving the construction of new socialist countryside, through making full use of PSBC's advantages such as numerous branches and wide coverage.
