Changsha s first police force on the basis of Lei Feng s force was set up in Leifeng Town of the Changsha National High-tech Industrial Development Zone on March 5, 2011. They are committed to follow the guiding principle of reading Lei Feng s Diary and serving the people wholeheartedly . Lei Feng (December 18, 1940-August 15, 1962) is a selfless and modest person who was devoted to helping others.
In the Memorial Hall of Lei Feng at 8:00 a.m. that day, a total of 52 policemen and police patrol from the Police Station of Lei Feng Town vowed to promote Leifeng s spirit and follow his example. Then, they responded to people s consultation in the street in spite of the rain.
