From now until the end of 2010, eighty-one hospitals and medical institutions in Dongguan will work on controlling their cigarette smoking. The intention is to create a totally smoking free environment in those places which are associated with being guardians of people's health.
From now until the end of 2010, eighty-one hospitals and medical institutions in Dongguan will work on controlling their cigarette smoking. The intention is to create a totally smoking free environment in those places which are associated with being guardians of people's health.
The medical institutions and hospitals that will implement this regulation are reported to be Dongguan Health Bureau, The People's Hospital of Dongguan, Tungwha Hospital, Kanghua Hospital as well as other well known hospitals and community clinics in the 32 townships and parishes of Dongguan.
These medical institutions and hospitals will erect signs and bulletin boards in prominent areas such as the outpatient hall, the wards, examination rooms and corridors to advise patients and their families that they should not smoke. Doctors and other employees in those organizations are asked to not to smoke while they are at work.
In addition, The People's Hospital of Dongguan and Dongguan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital will set up outpatient departments for smoking rehabilitatiion.
