On May 28, the biggest low-carbon resources project in Dongguan, Guangdong Jovo Natural Gas Industrial Development Co. Ltd. was signed and settled in Dongguan. With an investment of over 100 million yuan, this project focuses on the construction of compressed natural gas stations and the connecting natural gas pipeline network.
According to Feng Yi, the Director of Jovo Natural Gas, the company will invest 500 million yuan toward the construction of compressed natural gas stations and the natural gas pipeline network so as to more efficiently supply natural gas to neighboring areas while at the same time will increase the reliability of gas supply in Dongguan.
Currently, there is only one gas provider Xinao Gas. Once the new method of delivery enters the natural gas market, the Xinao monopoly in Dongguan will be broken. An increase of competition could encourage more favorable end user conditions.
