On March 2nd, a delegation from University of California, San Diego (UCSD), which was led by Ms. Roxanne, Director of the International Centre, paid a visit to USTB. Prof. Wu Dekun, Vice-president of USTB, and Prof. Gao Junshan, Vice-dean of School of Economics and Management met with the delegation.
Prof. Wu introduced USTB to the delegation and briefed them on USTB s new initiatives on international outreach. He said that USTB has always dedicated itself to cooperating with those top universities around the world and he hoped that USTB and UCSD will have tangible collaboration in the fields of teaching, student exchange and scientific research.
Ms. Roxanne expressed her deep thanks about the warm welcome. She noted that UCSD and USTB have a lot in common. So it is possible for two universities to seek collaboration in a wide range of fields. Later in the meeting, the two sides signed the cooperation agreement in which students and scholars exchange program and resource sharing are included to benefit both universities.
It is known that USTB will initiate both short-term and long-term undergraduate projects which allow students of certain major to get credits in UCSD.
