UM Delegates Visited USTB and Inked Deal on Cooperation

On November 29, Prof. Zhao Wei, Rector of University of Macau (UM), and Ms. Wang Qi, Director of the Global Affairs Office, paid a visit to USTB. Chancellor Luo Weidong and Prof. Wang Ge, Director of the International Office, held a meeting with the guests and the two universities then signed an agreement on future cooperation.
In the meeting, Chancellor Luo Weidong talked about the teaching and research developments and the employment rate of graduates of USTB, and he also discussed with Rector Zhao about the challenges encountered in higher education in both universities. Rector Zhao introduced the basic information of UM, its educational visions and measures, achievements and blueprint of becoming a university with excellent faculties, teaching content, teaching methods, teaching materials and teaching administration. To meet the demand of higher education internationalization, Rector Zhao and Chancellor Luo discussed in detail on how to produce more talents and scientific research fruits.
After the meeting, USTB and UM signed an agreement on cooperation, aiming to further tangible collaboration in the fields of students exchange and academic symposiums. It is said that the UM delegation will attend the Green Home Technology Forum for University Students of Beijing and Macau held in USTB during December 18 to 22.
