TUBF Delegation Pays a Visit to USTB

Write: Leopold [2011-05-20]

Led by Dr. Schloemann, Vice Rector for Education of Technische Universitat Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBF), a German delegation arrived in USTB on March 9th for an exchange visit. Prof. Xu Jinwu, the President of USTB and Prof. Wang Ge, Director of the International Office, received the delegation.
The USTB-TUBF cooperation ties began in 1997. For ten years, USTB and TUBF have made concerted efforts to expand concrete cooperation. And at this year's visit, both universities will seek the new ground for deeper exchange and collaboration. On the reception meeting, Prof. Xu Jinwu extended his warm welcome on behalf of USTB faculties and introduced the latest progress within the university and outside with other overseas universities. He also echoed Dr. Schloemann's view that cooperation in the fields of scientific researches and student exchange programs should be brought to a sound and stable growth between both sides.
After the meeting, the delegation visited School of Applied Science.
Founded in 1765, Technische Universitat Bergakademie Freiberg is one of the most ancient mining and technology universities in the world.
