COSL 2010 overseas employee training has been rounded off recently. 25 overseas employees, from seven overseas subsidiary companies in Norway, Singapore, Mexico, Indonesia, Libya, the Philippines and Myanmar, attended the training at COSL s headquarters.
In the two-week training, COSL offered the overseas employees a comprehensive knowledge of the company s operating capacity, business segments, international strategy, global market layout and corporate culture. On the sidelines of the training, the trainees successively visited divisions of drilling, well tech, oilfield chemical, geophysical, oilfield optimization and shipping to inquire and learn about relevant operations.
The training provided a learning opportunity to overseas employees, built a platform for in-depth communication and exchanges between the overseas subsidiary companies and headquarters, between the overseas subsidiary companies and relevant divisions, and between the overseas subsidiary companies. Through the training, the trainees acquired a deeper and more visualized understanding of both China and the company, personally felt China, dealt with Chinese people, learned to speak Chinese, and experienced China s profound cultural essence and ever-changing economic development.
With the acceleration in globalization, the company s overseas revenues and overseas employees have been on the increase. The total number of existing overseas employees has approached 700 and is on the rise. Overseas employees in different regions and countries have different concepts and cultural backgrounds. Therefore, the company will keep intensifying overseas employee training in the process of globalization.
