September 10, the First Jinzhou New Area Family Culture Festival, which lasted for more than two months, was successfully over. 103 Harmonious Families, 101 Low-carbon Life Star Families, Top Ten Good Mothers and Top Ten Sons and Daughters Respecting the Old were honored at the closing ceremony. Wang Lingjie, chairwoman of Dalian Women s Federation, leaders from Jinzhou New Area Wang Yonghai, Zhao Limin, Shi Chuandong, Tian Qingye, Li Yunchun, Qin Shuhua, Xu Xiaoli and persons in charge from relevant departments were present at the ceremony.
The festival was organized by Jinzhou New Area Women s Federation. With the theme Marching forward with civilization, building a harmonious New Area , women s organizations at various levels initiated a series of activities such as, Low-carbon Family Fashionable Life, Harmonious Family Happy Life, Creation of a Safe Family, Creation of a Civilized Family, etc., printed 12,000 green-bags with 15 Tips for a Low-carbon Life on them, handed out 5,000 pamphlets on low-carbon living tips, gathered 12,000 golden ideas for energy-saving and environmental protection, set up 20 women s volunteer environmental groups, held 20 family education seminars and over 300 promotional activities, attracting nearly 30,000 participating families from 20 neighborhoods of the area.
The closing ceremony was very heart warming and was interspersed with performances, short stories videos and awards, highlighting the theme of the festival.
On behalf of Dalian Women s Federation, Wang Lingjie extended her congratulations on the success of the festival and on the various types of advanced models honored. She expects that, with harmony as the theme, service as the objective, innovation as a drive and development as the goal, Jinzhou New Area women s organizations at various levels will brand family culture and highlight its inherent cultural characteristics and, in the spirit of the opening-up, promote the harmonious development of the New Area with the harmonious progress of families.
Wang Yonghai, deputy secretary of Jinzhou New Area CCP Affairs Work Committee, said that the festival was an important move and practice for women s federations of Jinzhou New Area to implement requirements from the CCP Affairs Work Committee and the Administrative Committee. Currently, Jinzhou New Area is striving to be a featured New Area that will be first-class domestically and renowned internationally.
