President of Jadavpur University Visits YUFE

Professor Pradip Narayan Ghosh, President of Jadavpur University (India) and Professor Gupta, Dean of the Chinese Department, visited our university on May 25th. Professor Wang Rong, President and Secretary of the Party Committee of YUFE, and Professor Zhou Yue, Vice president of YUFE, received the guests. The two sides had friendly talks.

On behalf of YUFE, Secretary Wang hosted a warm welcome to the delegation. He also indicated his hope for a practical cooperation with Jadavpur University. He said that India is a great country in south Asia and an important neighbor of China. Yunnan and India are geographically close, so the exchange of higher education should be an important part of their bilateral exchange. YUFE would like to cooperate with Jadavpur University at all levels in every academic area.

Vice president Zhou introduced basic information about YUFE to the guests and put forward advice for further cooperation. After that, President Ghosh introduced fundamental features of Jadavpur University. He also indicated the willingness to cooperate with YUFE in the areas of student exchange and academic exchange. After the meeting, the two sides signed a cooperative memorandum, officially establishing a friendly cooperative relationship. This very first visit of the delegation from Jadavpur University is significant for the cooperation of both sides.
