President Wang Rong Hosts the Principal Discussion of the Cooperation Forum for Higher Education of the East Asia Summit

From October 13-15, the Cooperation Forum for Higher Education of the East Asia Summit was held in Kunming. Wang Rong, the president of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, attended the forum. The Cooperation Forum for Higher Education of the East Asia Summit was organized by the Ministry of Education and Yunnan Provincial Government. There were over 150 attendees from China, and attendees from ten countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, including educational officials, presidents of universities and foreign ambassadors.. The Cooperation Forum for Higher Education of the East Asia Summit was advocated by Prime Minister Wen Jiabao during the fourth East Asia Summit in October 2009. This was the first attempt under the framework of the East Asia Summit in the field of higher education by the member countries.
