A Delegation from Mercer University, USA Visited CQMU

A delegation comprised of five teachers and fifteen students from Mercer University in Georgia, USA, visited CQMU on May 27 & 28, 2008. A meeting was held between the guests and the leaders and the representatives of teachers and students from the College of Public Health of our university. Wang Yingxiong, Dean of the College of Public Health, Wang Yang, Associate Dean of the College of Public Health and William Bina, Dean of School of Medicine and Chair of Department of Community Medicine gave lectures in the meeting. After the meeting, the teachers and students of both sides had talks on questions of common interest.
On May 28, 2008, in the company of the Xu Xiaoyang, associate professor of the College of Public Health, some of the delegates visited the College of Clinical Science as well as the patients from the earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan province and expressed their sympathy and solicitude for them.
The guests would give three lectures on their education and scientific research in the College of Public Health.
The visit helped to increase the understanding of the public health and medical care of both countries and lay good foundation for further cooperation between both universities.
