On 11 October, the Preliminary Meeting of Sino-Canadian Education and Technology Seminar was held in the Administrative Building. Vice president Mr. Peng hosted the meeting and some leaders of Education Technology Center, Foreign Affair Office and Foreign Language Department presented.
In the meeting, Mr.Peng introduced the background and theme. The Sino-Canadian Education and Technology Seminar will be held during the 31st October to 2nd November in HZU. Mr. Peng said, this meeting comes from Sino-Canadian Workshop on Educational Technology which was held in OISE of Toronto University in 2009. It discussed issues both sides concerned of such as information technology s application in math education, etc. He mentioned, this seminar will base on the Sino-Canadian International Technology Forum 2009, and properly expands the participation scale and number. He suggested this forum could be a communication platform for researchers on Sino-Canadian education and technology.
It is the first time for HZU to held international meeting. It is conducive to develop HZU s academic communication and college influence. The meeting made relevant managements about guests reception, arrangement of meeting place, meeting agenda and so on.
The preliminary meeting was hosted by China Education Technology, undertook by South China Normal University and Huizhou University. The Meeting will invite professors from Canada, Hong Kong and China s universities. The theme of the preliminary meeting was Education and Technology in Information Views.
