Ms. Glenda Brindle from University of Central Lancashire Visited SCAU

Upon the invitation from Office of International Relations, Ms. Glenda Brindle from University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) visited SCAU, accompanied by Mr. Ge Jifei, the South China District Manager of University of Central Lancashire. Ms. Glenda Brindle was Dean of the School of Creative and Performing Arts, UCLan and in charge of the International Fashion Institute.

The head of the Office of International Relations warmly welcomed the guests. Ms. Glenda Brindle gave a basic introduction of UCLan and the International Fashion Institute, especially the important measures about the International Cooperative Education of UCLan. Dr. Yu Rangcai, Director of the Office of International Relations also gave a brief introduction of SCAU and the College of International Education. Both sides had an in-depth talk on the visits of scholars and the exchanges of students. Besides, the guests visited the College of Arts. They discussed the matters of united courses of fashion design in details and reached a preliminary agreement.

It is reported that UCLan is the fifth largest university in England and it has a history of almost 200 years. As an international university, UCLan has established relationships with more than 150 countries worldwide. In 2007, UCLan and SCAU signed the memorandum of cooperation and agreement of academic cooperation projects.
