Recently, the 2010 Training Course on Environmentally Friendly Fertilizer Production, Application and Demonstration for Developing Countries was held by China International Center of Agricultural Training, SCAU under the sponsorship of Ministry of Commerce. The staff of Office of International Relations arranged a series of courses, activities and visits for the foreign participants to further understand the Chinese culture. 24 trainees were divided into 4 groups and invited to visit different Chinese families.

Six participants from Rwanda, Nigeria, Vietnam and Mongolia were invited to a teacher s home. They were quite curious about Chinese customs, conventions and so on. The host, a teacher from College of Natural Resources and Environment, explained their questions and doubts patiently. Meanwhile the family showed great concern to the trainees on their study and life in China. The host also presented the Chinese Tea as gift to them, hoping that they could bring the best wishes from China back to their own countries.

The participants thought highly of the visits and appreciated Chinese people s kindness and hospitality. There was no doubt that China enjoyed its reputation as a nation of etiquette.
