President Wang Chunqiu Met with Australian Guests

Prof. Wang Chunqiu , SDUST President, met with Prof. Chritopher Letchford, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, University of Tasmania, Australia and his party on September 6^th at SDUST s Jinan campus. Present at the meeting were Li Shuguang, Deputy CPC Secretary of SDUST and Head of the Jinan Campus Administrative Committee, Li Ping, Director of International Office and Qi Xueguang, Executive Director of the Jinan Campus Administrative Committee.

Wang Chunqiu welcomed the Australian guests to SDUST to attend the 2010 joint undergraduate program opening ceremony. He commended the exchange and cooperation between the two universities in areas of student cultivation, scientific research and discipline construction and appreciated Tasmania s school spirit and the dedication and professionalism of its teachers working at SDUST. He said that initiating the joint undergraduate program enhanced bilateral cooperations and wished the program a big success.

Christopher Letchford conveyed greetings from the Vice-chancellor of Tasmania to Wang Chunqiu and thanked the host s hospitality. He said that University of Tasmania placed emphasis on the cooperative program with SDUST, and the growing ties of the two institutions would reveal a promising prospect of the program.
