ZSTU won awards in Light of Textiles 2009 Science and Technology Education Awards

Days ago the Awarding Conference of Light of Textiles 2009 TAC Science and Technology Education Awards was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. TAC (Textiles Association of China) President Du Yuzhou, Vice-President Xu Kunyuan, Gao Yong, Xu Wenying, National Office for Science & Technology Awards Deputy Director Huang Gang, Chinese Academy of Engineering Academician Mei Ziqiang, TAC staff Song Dongju, Li Shaoling, Li Jinbao, Ni Yangsheng, board of committee member of Light of Textiles Science and Technology Education Foundation and Marzoli (Dongtai) Textile Machinery Com Ltd. President Zhu Peng, and 300 award winners attended the Conference. The Conference was presided over by Gao Yong.

The Conference was hosted by TAC, with the co-sponsorship of Light of Textiles Science and Technology Education Foundation. The Conference awarded 144 Textile Science and Technology Advancement Award, 99 TAC Textile Higher Education Teaching Accomplishments Award, and Light of Textiles Teachers and Students Award. Du Yuzhou gave award-winning institutions and individuals sincere congratulations and delivered speeches.

ZSTU Vice-President Chen Jianyong, together with Science and Technology Division, Academic Affairs Division and Student Affairs Division officials and award winners attended the Conference. ZSTU Shen Yifeng s An Applied Research into the Eco-friendly Dyeing Technology of New Silk Composite Fibers Fabrics and Wu Minghua s The Development of Chitosan Fibers and Cotton Blended Yarn Dyeing Technologywon the second prize of Science and Technology Advancement Award, and Zhou Wenlong s and Jin Zimin s projects were both awarded the third prize. Chen Jianyong s Innovation and Practice of Inter-disciplinary Talents Construction Mode upon the Needs of Regional Economy Developmentand Guo Jiannan s The Reform and Practice of Seamlessly-linked , Innovative and Entrepreneurial Fashion Talents Construction Modewere awarded the first prize of Teaching Accomplishments Award, Hu Jueliang s Innovation and Practice of the Math Curricular System and Teaching Mode for Textile and Fashion Postgraduates, Xu Dinghua s The Research and Practice of Undergraduates Construction Mode in Textile Academies in Transitionand Shao Jianzhong s Cultivating Innovative Light Chemistry Engineering Talents for Advanced Textile Manufacturing Baseswere awarded the second prize, and ten projects undertaken by Jin Zimin, Wang Lijun, Ren Limin, Hu Xun, Du Lanxiao, Zhang Ruilin, Ma Shouguang, Xie Jianping, Zhang Kangfu and Chen Jianneng were awarded the third prize. Hu Xudong and Wu Weiwei were awarded Light of Textile Teachers Award and Lu Wangyang and other 14 students were awarded Light of Textile Students Award
