The 4th Arctic Expedition Accomplished

On September 20th, SMU Vice President Kong Fancun warmly received the returned SMU staff who had participated in China's 4th scientific expedition to Arctic at the Polar dock specially for the Chinese icebreaker Snow Dragon.
In the end of June 2010, 4 faculty from SMU Merchant Marine College were appointed to conduct navigation missions on the Snow Dragon by Polar Research Institute of China State Ocean Administration. They worked hard on board and provided great technological support for the 4th scientific expedition to Arctic. They were highly appreciated by ship crew and all scientific researchers.
Later on, Prof. Kong Fancun had a meeting with the 4 faculty. He encouraged them to make persistent efforts and to share the experiences with other teachers when returned to the university.
