Zhang Jianxiang Attending Anniversary Celebration of Taiwan Fu Jen Catholic University

To celebrate its 85 years history, Taiwan Fu Jen Catholic University held the global alumni get-together in Shanghai and invited its sister universities in mainland. Vice President Zhang Jianxiang, on behalf of Shaanxi Normal University (SNNU), attended the activity.

Li Jianqiu, President of Fu Jen Catholic University, recalled the development of Fu Jen Catholic University in the 85 years and affirmed the outstanding contribution made by the 140,000 alumni. He also appreciated the friendly cooperation with 24 universities in mainland, and highly praised the cooperation with SNNU. Besides, Li expressed his great expectations on future cooperation with SNNU.

Vice President Zhang Jianxiang felicitated the anniversary of Fu Jen Catholic University on behalf of SNNU, and hoped the two universities could carry forward the traditional advantages and seize the opportunity to open a new chapter. At the mean time, Zhang presented a picture of peony to President Li as a gift painted by Yang Jiahuan in College of Fine Arts, expressing best wishes for Fu Jen Catholic University being as elegant and fragrant as peony.

During the activity, SNNU Vice President Zhang Jianxiang and Zhang Jiancheng, Director of Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs talked with some of the department leaders of Fu Jen Catholic University about future cooperation and communication, having arrived at quite a few initial intentions of cooperation.
