On the morning of August 30th, 2010, a ceremony for signing an agreement for cooperation between College of Chinese Literature of SNNU (Shaanxi Normal University) and The Chinese Department of NCUE (National Changhua University of Education) was held solemnly in the multi-functional conference hall of Qixia Yuan in SNNU. On behalf of the representatives, Dean Zhang Qingquan from the Chinese Department of NCUE and Dean Li Xi from College of Chinese Literature of SNNU signed on the agreement.
This agreement has further extended the cooperation between NCUE and SNNU. According to the agreement, the two sides will strengthen the cooperation in exchanging delegations and students, in holding academic conferences jointly, in sharing some academic resources, and in establishing communication between teachers and administrators from now on.
The ceremony was hosted by Li Xi, Dean of College of Chinese Literature of SNNU. Wang Tao, Vice-President of SNNU, and Lin Mingde, President of NCUE, attended the ceremony. They both have expressed their expectation of cooperation and coordination between the two universities in more fields in the future. The ceremony was also witnessed by Liu Jianbin, Vice-Director of the Office of SNNU, Zhang Lingyun, Vice-Director of Office of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs, and some distinguished scholars and professors from both sides. When the ceremony ended, a forum about Chang an (the ancient name for Xi an ) and Chinese literature , chaired by Zhang Xinke, Vice-Dean of College of Chinese Literature of SNNU, was held and there was a heated debate and discussion between the participants from both universities.(Trans: Qi Hongmiao)
