NPU Attends the First Joint Session of Elite Education Cooperation Universities

On Dec 10, 2010, the Excellent Union 9 universities E9 held their first joint session in Tongji University to better carry out the Framework Agreement on E9. The session is attended by the leaders from Office of Teaching Administration and Foreign Affairs Department at NPU, Beijing University of Technology, Chongqing University, Dalian University of Technology, Southeast China University, Harbin Institute of Technology, South China University of Technology, Tianjin University and Tongji University.

During the session the representatives of the nine universities discuss how to take concrete measures to implement the framework agreement and what to do next. The discussion topics include educational method, undergraduate exchange and co-education, teacher exchange and training, resource sharing, international cooperation and exchange, coalition of industry with university and academic research etc. They reach broad consensus on planning view exchange cooperation, clarification of their terms of reference and the universities' regular conduction of the joint session by turns.
