SCUT sets up its online education center at Xinjiang University

On the morning of August 14, the opening ceremony of South China University of Technology (SCUT) online education center at Xinjiang University was held in Xinjiang University.

Representatives of two sides attended the ceremony, among whom ZHOU Yuansheng, President of Xinjiang University, and LIU Qijin, Vice-president of SCUT, gave a speech respectively.

At the ceremony, Vice-president LIU Qijin, on behalf of SCUT, congratulated on the establishment of the online education center. LIU pointed out that it was one important mission of our country s development of the western region strategy to support the development of higher education and speed up the training of all kinds of professional personnel badly needed in that area.

Then LIU gave an introduction to the recent development and achievement of SCUT, and exchanged experience with President ZHOU Yuansheng concerning disciplinary construction in universities, personnel training, reform and innovation of management system, etc.
