On the morning of Dec 9, Prof. Robert Mckinlay, vice-president of Lancaster University, and Prof. Steve Bradley, vice-president for international affairs, visited SCUT. ZHANG Xichun, vice-president of SCUT, greeted the guests at the Third Conference Room. Faculty from Teaching Affairs Office and School of International Education attended the meeting as well.
In the meeting, ZHANG extended his warm welcome to the visitors, and introduced briefly to them the recent development of SCUT, especially on scientific innovation and patents. Both sides expected to further the cooperation on Confucius Institute construction and scientific exchange. After amicable negotiations, both sides reached agreement on undergraduate "2+2" projects and joint training of postgraduates.
