Delegates of Ling Tung University visit SCUT

On the morning of Mar. 25, a 4-member delegation of Ling Tung University led by its President CHEN Zhengui visited SCUT.

At the third conference room, vice-president QIU Xueqing and President CHEN Zhengui had a discussion about SCUT graduates undertaking postgraduate study at Ling Tung University. Both sides expressed willingness to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen cooperation.

After the conference, the delegate introduced to the students from School of Business Administration and School of Economics and Trade the overall situation of postgraduate study at Ling Tung University. Three SCUT students will be recruited by the university with a full scholarship granted.

It is learned that Ling Tung University, located in Taichung, was established in 1964 by Dr. Ya-ping Tsai and Dr. Min Lee, a couple from Mei county, Guangdong. The University was then founded as Ling Tung Junior College of Accounting, with a school motto of "learning for practice, sincere to others". It was promoted to a technical college in 1999 and then a university of science and technology in 2005.
