International Conference on Economy Held at JNU

From December 5-7, the "Post-Financial Crisis Era s Reform and Development Forum & the Fourth Asian Symposium on Regional Cooperation and Innovation Forum" was successfully held at Jinan University. The form was co-organized by "Economic Research" Editorial Board, Jinan University, Ritsumeikan University, University of Hyogo, Japan, Pusan National University, South Korea and the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Thailand. The College of Economics, Institute for Industrial Economic Research and the Institute of Finance of JNU co-hosted the forum. More than 60 experts and scholars from well-known universities and research institutions of China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, the United States, Canada and other countries attended the meeting. This meeting, with " Post-Financial Crisis Era s Reform and Development and Regional Cooperation" as its theme, focused on monetary policy, financial reform, economic integration and regional cooperation, the green economy and energy savings, etc.

President Hu Jun of JNU attended this meeting and addressed the opening ceremony. Professor Yew-Kwang Ng from Australia's Monash University, Tang Min, deputy secretary-general of the China Development Research Foundation, Zuo Xiaolei, chief economist of Galaxy Securities, Professor Masakazu Kitano from Department of Economics, University of Hyogo, Prof. Rachain Chintayarangsan, Dean of Economics of NIDA, Prof Keunjae Lee from Pusan National University and Professor Zhang Jie, Dean of College of Economics, JNU, gave keynote speeches respectively at the general assembly.
The theme of the meeting was divided into two topics, "Asian regional cooperation and innovation" and "post-crisis era s reform and development" and was held in four sub-venues. Participants had a lively and in-depth discussion on the two topics.
