On the invitation of Mr. Konrad Zablocki, former interim consul general of Poland in Guangzhou and Dr. Roman Budzynski, president of Gromada Group, Poland, a delegation of School of Management headed by Prof. Li Congdong, Dean of the School visited Poland from June 12 to 17. Other members of the delegation included Mr. Li Lijia, Deputy Director of the International Affairs Office, Prof. Liang Mingzhu, Chair of the Tourism Management Department, Asso. Professor Wu Jing, Director of the MBA Center and Dr. Huang Xiang, foreign affairs secretary of the Tourism Management Department.
Gromada Group was founded in 1937. It is a major corporate company in Poland with business in investment, trade, tourism, education and cultural exchange. It incorporates 22 three-star and four-star hotels and 40 travel agencies and is one of the major chain hotel companies and travel agencies in Poland. It plays an important role in the Polish economy, investment, business, industry and business education.
The delegation visited the Gromada College and enterprises of the group. On June 16, Prof. Li Congdong signed an agreement of cooperation with Dr. Budzynski. According to the agreement, the School of Management of Jinan University will offer training workshops for Gromada Group senior managers. The two sides will also jointly hold a conference on Business Opportunities in Poland and in China . The two sides also had discussion on university-enterprise joint research, student exchange and overseas internship programs.

During the visit to Poland, the delegation also paid a visitto University of Gdansk, which is the third leading university in Poland and exchanged ideas with Dr. Marceli Burdelski, Deputy Director of Center of East Asian Studies on academic cooperation and student exchange.
After the visit to Poland, the delegation went to France and met with representatives from CNAM, Toulouse Business School, Echanges Cultures Formations France Chine and the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), Spain. Through the talks, the School of Management finalized the cooperation plan with CNAM on fashion MBA and Project Management MBA programs and discussed with Toulouse Business School and UIB on potential cooperation on Tourism Management MBA program. A student exchange agreement was also reached at university level between JNU and UIB.

This visit will promote not only the internationalization of the School of Management, but also the influence of Jinan University in Europe. It is a positive probe of School of Management s joint cooperation with outside.
