2010 Miss Tourism Int l China (Hunan Division Preliminary) Kicks off in HNU

2010 Miss Tourism Int l China (Hunan Division Preliminary) kicked off in Nichang Building of College of Polytechnic in HNU on the morning of November 14^th. 49 contestants from more than 10 universities of Changsha took part in the first round of this competition, which received intensive media coverage from Hunan TV, ETV, Channel U, Changsha TV and Xiaoxiang Morning Post.

Liu Yiwu, secretary of Hunan Tourism Association and director of 2010 Miss Tourism Int l China Organizing Committee, Chen Geng, Director of Fashion Design Department of College of Polytechnic of HNU, and Hou Lili, from Department of Music of Hunan Women s University, served as judges, who were responsible for the selection of 30 superiors from the 49 contestants to participate in Hunan provincial quarter-final through overall consideration of their body gesture, stage performance, image, manner, creativity and sense of art.

In addition, the official website of 2010 Miss Tourism Int l China (www.mtic001.com) would publish the name list of winners on November 16^th. Audiences can vote for their favorite ones on-line at www.changsha.cn, and the votes will account for 40% of the quarter-final result.

Insiders predicted that the charm spark ignited by this competition in Hunan will add color to series of celebrating activities at the end of Chinese Year of Tiger.
