Finals of Professional Group in Four Stars Competition-Profession Sees the Real Skills

In the evening of Nov. 11^th, the StudentActivityCenter in Li De Building was permeated with light and delight. The Professional Group s Finals of the 20^th China Bank Cup Four Stars (of Singing, Dancing, Music Instruments, and Humor) Competition was held here. Competitors in 14 groups, from College of Music and ShudaCollege, moved the audiences with their professional performances, namely melodious songs, dazzling dances and skillful strumming.

A Chinese Orchestra group, named Feiyue, from College of Music, Lou Xi and Li Yuan, also from College of Music and Yu Haiting, from Shuda College, won the first prize of Music Instruments, Singing, Dancing respectively, through their excellent and wonderful performances. The competition ended with laughter evoked by the skit The Big Words, performed by the first prize winner of Star of Humor from Amateur Group, Deng Shaungshuang and Yi He.

Winner List of Finals of 6^th HNU Stars

Three days after the finals of Professional Group in Four Stars Competition, that is, in the evening of Nov. 14^th, the semi-final of the 6^th HNU Stars was held at the same place. Twenty-one boys as a group and twenty-six girls, the other, participated in the competition for the final championship. After the first round, ten competitors from each group came out of the crowd and won eligibility for the final through intensive competitions.

He Xujuan, the head of Student Affairs Department, Shen Youhong, the deputy-chief of the Organization Department of Party Committee, Gong Min, the deputy-chief of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee, Shen Meiling and Xiang Yifa, the deputy-chief of Student Affairs Department, Chen Yuan, the director of Grant Management Center of Student Affairs Department and Wu Xiaoli, Department of Textile and Costume Design of College of Polytechnic were present as judges.

Contestants are all excellent students with versatile abilities. Some of them not only assumed a position in Student Union, but also got all sorts of scholarship; some have been recommended to Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of sciences and Najing University for further education; some won the prize in the National Challenge Cup Contest; some acquired the national patent.

Besides, they are full of talents. Wang Feifei s singing still lingered in one s ears, and then Zhao Shengyuan s poem recital with background music made audiences enchanted. After a wonderful dance by Zhao Guishuang, the solo by Luo Yitao brought audiences into a tranquil world. A selection of Flower Drum opera by Huang Wei amazed all those present and Jazz and Hip-hop by Zhao Zhe brought down the house.

The HNU Stars has been successfully held for 5 times since 2005, aiming to promote the overall development of students, set up excellent students with popularity as a typical example and make full use of their influence to encourage all students to work hard to make progress. Five boys and five girls will be selected as stars of HNU.
