Four professors of Nanjing University (NJU) recently won the 2009 Award for Distinguished Teachers in Higher Education Institutions given by the Ministry of Education.
Prof. Zhou Xiaohong and Prof. Liu Houjun were named "Distinguished Teachers of the Nation." Prof. Mo Lifeng and Prof. Li Manchun were honored "Distinguished Teachers of Jiangsu Province."
The Award for Distinguished Teachers in Higher Education Institutions, first given in 2003, honors those university teachers who have made remarkable achievements in student education. Nanjing University has nine "Distinguished Teachers of the Nation" and seven "Distinguished Teachers of Jiangsu Province."
