On April 12, the 7th International Alcoholic Beverages Culture & Technology Symposium was held at the Wenhao Science Hall of Jiangnan University. The meeting was co-initiated by China Brewing Industry Association, Jiangnan University, Japan Brewing Association and Japan Wine Research Institute, and was undertaken by School of Biotechnology at Jiangnan University.
Wang Yancai, Chairman of China Brewing Industry Association, Mr. Yuichi Akiyama, the former chairman of Japan Brewing Association, Qin Hanzhang, a leading authority of the wine industry, Ji Keliang, Chairman of China Kweichou Moutai Distillery (Group) Co. Ltd and more than 100 representatives from Japan, Taiwan, and other liquor producers and research institutes at home and abroad participated in the symposium. Professor Wang Wu, Vice President of Jiangnan University, and Ms. Hua Boya, Vice Mayor of Wuxi, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech respectively. Wang Yancai, Vice Chairman of China Brewing Industry Association, gave the keynote address on the theme of Expanding Exchanges and Cooperation to Seek Greater Development at the meeting.
The theme of this meeting is wine culture, brewing technology of wine and other fermented food, market and consumption . The symposium mainly focuses on the following topics: wine culture (all kinds of worldwide wine brewing history; wine and traditional culture; comparative studies of oriental & occidental wine culture; comparative studies of wine culture in China and other countries and regions; liquor brand culture and marketing culture; wine culture and corporate culture), brewing technology (wine mechanization and automation, detection of instrumentation, new technology, new techniques and new equipment in the field of packaging design, etc.), wine development (history, current situation and development trend in China and various countries in the world), the development road of famous wine-brewing enterprises in China, researches on wine policies and standards in China and other countries in the world.
