2010 National Academic Conference of Doctorial Candidates Held at TUT

From October 23 to 24, the 2010 National Academic Conference of Doctorial Candidates was held at TUT, which is one of the key programs of innovation in graduate education that Ministry of Education began to operate in 2003. This conference was directed by Academic Degrees Committee Office, Administration of Ministry of Education and Graduate Education Department, and hosted by GraduateSchool and College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of TUT. Academician Xie Kechang, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, vice chairman of China Association for Science and Technology, and director of the Key Laboratory for Coal Science and Technology, Yao Zhilou, party committee secretary of TUT, and Zhang Wendong, president of TUT sent to the conference letters of congratulations respectively.

On the invitation of the conference, Professor Li Wenying, Researcher Xiang Hongwei, and Professor Liu Zhichang made their reports respectively. Twelve doctorial candidates were invited to make keynote reports at the conference as well.

The theme of the conference is Chemical Engineering and Technology in Sustainable Development of Energy Resources . It s directing to all the doctorial candidates concerned in the field from colleges and universities, research institutions in China with the intention of setting up a platform for communication.

At the conference, over 20 doctorial supervisors and 100 doctorial candidates from 12 colleges and universities, and research institutions concerned showed up. In TUT history, this is the first national conference organized by doctorial candidates.
