More than 300-people have been reported dead in a stampede on Koh Pich island in Cambodia. The tragedy occurred on Monday - the last day of the Water Festival celebrations. Several more are said to be injured.
The stampede took place on an overcrowded bridge, according to a report in eTurboNews. Prime Minister Hun Sen has described the incident as the biggest tragedy since the Khmer Rouge regime mass killings of the seventies.
Thursday has been declared as a national day of mourning in Cambodia.
