More Tourists To XJ
Xinjiang has entered the peak tourist season. Both tourist number and income in the region have created new records.
Altay Prefecture received over 20,000 foreign and domestic tourists by air in July. In these days, the daily tourists volume of Kanas Scenic Spot has reached over 6000, a rise of 156 percent year on year.

Habahe County of Altay Prefecture earned over 97.79 mln Yuan from tourism from January to July this year, up by 20.1 percent year on year. Different from the authentic ethnic custom, Nilek County has focused on rural life tour. The county received 97,000 tourists in the first half of this year, with 13.58 million Yuan of income.
In August, tourism in Turpan and Bayangol of Xinjiang also booms. While at International Grand Bazaar of Urumqi, the featured food and ethnic song and dance attract lots of tourists at home and abroad.
After viewing the sceneries at daytime, tourists can also appreciate ethnic song and dance performances while eating featured food in night markets or banquet halls.

This year, XJ is expected to meet 25 million of domestic tourists. Up to now, the tourist volume to XJ has reached this figure.
