The Second Culture Bridge New Year s Evening

The joyous atmosphere was felt everywhere inside the Circle D Auditorium on the Youyi campus on December 28th, 2009, where the Second Culture Bridge New Year s Evening was held.

Professor Tang Hong, Dean of the Office of International Cooperation and the International College, Mr. Yan Yuzhou, Director of Student Affairs, Associate Professor Sun Yu, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation, Mr. Chen Hongliang, Vice Dean of the International College, Mr. Zhao Hongzhang, Vice Dean of the School of Aeronautics, Ms.

Wang Jing, Vice Dean of the School of Materials Science, Mr. Liu Xiaojun, Vice Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Li Chunlin, Vice Dean of the School of Energy and Power and Mr. Duan Zhemin, Vice Dean of the School of Electronics and Information were present at the performance. All the International students together with the winter camp students from HANBAN of China came and joined the show.

The show commenced with a pop dance performed by the ME group from the International College, which was followed by a song named Golden Boy sung by a Kirghizia student. The two performances were welcomed by enthusiastic applause from the audience. Next, a music drama A Love Dream presented by students from the School of Energy and Power aroused continuous applause.

Let Him Go, a dance performed by one Kenya student which vividly reflected the African culture and the custom. Afterwards, a magic show from the School of Aeronautics brought out a unique enchantment and a spirit of magic. Let s Learn Chinese, a drama from the International College, best explained how the International students started their study and life in China.

Later on, a dance show named Rainy Qing Ming Festival performed by the students from the School of Materials Science pushed forward the Evening to the climax.

Finally, the show perfectly ended up with a series of songs performed by the students from the winter camp of HANBAN of China.
