IT Mission from FSO of Germany visited NBS

On the morning of May 8, 2005, Mr. Zhu Xiangdong, Deputy Commissioner of National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) held a Welcome Ceremony for the IT Mission from Federal Statistical Office (FSO) of Germany, and made an introduction on the present situation and issues existing in the informatics management works of NBS.

In accordance with the schedule of Bilateral Cooperation Program for 2005 mutually agreed by NBS and FSO, Mr. Dieter Sarreither and Mrs. Beate Glitza from FSO are paying a visit to China from May 7 to 14, 2005, providing technical consultant on IT technology to NBS. The Mission made a brief introduction about the measures taken in IT works as well as the unification of IT program with the overall work plan of FSO.The participants from NBS include: Mr. Feng Nailin, Director-General of Department of International Cooperation, Mr. Du Weiqun, Counsel of Department of International Cooperation, Mr. Xu Tiefu, Director-General of ComputerCenter, Mr. Hu Fan, Deputy Director-General of ComputerCenter.

On the afternoon of May 8, 2005, Mr. Dieter Sarreither gave a lecture to the Directors and Technicians from different departments of NBS.
